There has been an increase in COVID-19 transmission in the East Metro and across the state. As a result, in the interest of protecting the safety and health of our citizens and employees, city facilities will be closed the public effective Monday, November 23, 2020 until Monday, January 4, 2021. Facilities that will be closed include City Hall, Public Works, the Discovery Center, and facilities such as warming houses, etc. The only exception is the Police Department, which will remain open to the public.
City staff are available by phone and email to assist with essential services. Residents are encouraged to access city services online when able at ci.oakdale.mn.us.
Oakdale public meetings including City Council and commission meetings are broadcast live on Channel 16 and on the City of Oakdale’s YouTube Channel. Instructions for virtual participation in city meetings will be posted with meeting materials.
You can help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community by washing hands often, staying home when sick, wearing a mask, and socially distancing. For more information about COVID-19 and testing locations visit https://mn.gov/covid19/
