    The farmers Market Nutrition Program and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program seek to provide fresh, unprepared, locally grown fruits and vegetables to WIC participants and income-eligible seniors, and to expand the awareness, use of, and sales at farmers' markets. The Oakdale Farmers Market has a number of participating vendors.

    Interested in solar for your home or business? Attend a FREE Solar Power Hour event hosted by the City of Oakdale on August 20, at 6:30PM. Solar Twin Cities is a group purchasing program for residential and commercial business property owners throughout the metro that benefits all participants of the program by pooling their buying power to secure significant discounts that make installing solar more affordable. The free information session teaches you the basics of solar, its financial implications for your household, and how the solar group buy program works. In addition there will be free 20-minute bill consultations by the Citizens Utility Board of Minnesota. Bring your electric and gas bills and receive customized suggestions to reduce energy use and save money. CUB staff can also talk to you about renewable energy options or other energy related topics. Appointments available from 5:30 to 6:30, RSVP @ cubminnesota.org.
