Choose the Oakdale Discovery Center for your next event! Our community room offers great views of the Oakdale Nature Preserve through its expansive windows, and catering options are available to fit your formal or informal occasions. From luncheons to wedding receptions, we can do it all!

Guest Capacity and Catering Information

This beautiful 1,152 square foot community room accommodates up to 120 guests. Groups of 75 and more requesting food / beverage service are required to use one of the three contracted caterers:

Groups of less than 75 may bring food prepared by a licensed caterer or commercial food provider (i.e. Subway, KFC, Rocco's Pizza, etc.) Home prepared food is not allowed.

Serving of alcohol requires using a city-approved, licensed beverage provider (ex. Lake Elmo Inn Catering, Envision Catering and Hospitality, or Hy-Vee Catering).

Venue Rental Pricing

Room Rental Pricing Fee for Non- Residents
Day Rate: Monday through Friday until 4 p.m. $50 / hour with 4 hour minimum plus tax
Weekend Rate: Friday Evening, Saturday / Sunday $75 / hour with 3 hour minimum plus tax
Full day rental: Saturday / Sunday $650 plus tax
